Tech Force LLC is a Kansas-based technology services and products company founded in 2023 by Jacob Stewart. We operate at the intersection of custom software development, artificial intelligence consulting, and AI-enabled product innovation.
Our focus is simple: bring senior-level engineering talent and executive-level technical thinking to companies that can’t justify — or don’t yet need — a full-time hire.
About Jacob Stewart
Jacob Stewart is a senior software engineer and technical leader with over 10 years of hands-on experience building production systems and leading engineering organizations.
Founding Engineer at Sunnybrook
Jacob’s most defining work is as a founding engineer at Sunnybrook, a bootstrapped Transportation Management System (TMS) startup. From day one, Jacob helped architect and build the core platform — and over the next two years, Sunnybrook grew from zero to 50+ enterprise customers.
His role at Sunnybrook covered the full spectrum of what a technical co-founder does:
- Engineering — Individual contributor work on core platform architecture and features
- Technical Leadership — Directing engineering priorities, code quality, and system design
- Hiring & Team Building — Recruiting and onboarding engineering talent
- DevOps & Infrastructure — Owning the deployment pipeline and production systems
- Client-Facing Roles — Requirements gathering, support, and technical onboarding
- Product — Shaping the roadmap alongside business stakeholders
That experience — building a SaaS company from scratch to meaningful scale, across every function — is what makes Jacob’s Fractional CTO offering credible. He hasn’t just consulted on this. He’s done the job.
Earlier Experience
Before Sunnybrook, Jacob worked for development agencies as a developer and client-facing lead. He managed relationships, translated business requirements into technical specs, and delivered projects across web, mobile, and enterprise software.
He has also completed numerous freelance projects across a wide range of industries and technology stacks.
